WordCamp Boston = WowCamp
Several months ago I searched for WordPress classes in the greater Boston area. No luck. So when I stumbled upon a Tweet from the Globe’s Scott Kirsner saying WordCamp Boston had sold out, I looked into the event.
Lucky for me, the WordCamp Boston organizers made some miracles happen and were able to offer more tickets. And so my journey to make my Web site and blog sing begins….
Over a nearly 20-year career in high tech PR and marketing, I’ve attended many, many events. Too many events. I’m now an expert at creating a grocery list while listening to presenters; editing slides on handouts; and all sorts of other tasks that make it seem like I’m taking notes, when in fact, I’m just trying to stay awake.
So, I think I have some credibility when I say, WordCamp Boston was an amazing event. It was well organized, presented a wide range of content for many different levels of WordPressers, and was in a great venue (thank you Chris Bowen of Microsoft!). Let’s just call it WowCamp!
Rather than drone on about the details (the great content, tangible take-aways, and even a great lunch), let’s leave it at: I’m ready to sign up for the next WordCamp. Now. I’ll give you my credit card number. Just let me know. I’m ready to be wowed again by the folks at WordCamp.
